REBECCA FARR was raised in Connecticut, where, as a budding artist, her parents graciously allowed her to paint on her bedroom walls. Though difficult with watercolors, the freedom to create and express herself gave her a great artistic foundation. She received a BA in Psychology from Colby Sawyer College in 1988 and has recently returned to school in pursuit of a degree in Fine Art, Web Design, and Photography. She shows her work at the Four Starr Gallery, in Stonington, Ct, and has shown at Three Elders Gallery and Two Pears Gallery in Santa Fe, NM. In November of 2010, she joined three other artists for group exhibition in the La Tienda Gallery in Santa Fe, NM. An avid horsewoman, Rebecca is well known for her equine pastel portraits. Whether painting in pastels or oils, drawing with graphite or taking photographs, Rebecca is most interested in portraying to the figure, both human and animal.
