I have always enjoyed taking portraits and initially made images of horses which I then painted from. I found that I was more interested in the photos than the paintings and began making images of people.

The moment that my subject really looks at me is magic and I love the relationship that I can begin to build on that moment. This happens with people, but also with animals. It's a waiting game, but so worth the time.
